Avery Dennison Introduces New Colors of Film for Conform Chrome Series

Mentor, Ohio, May 15, 2018 – Avery Dennison Graphics Solutions announced today the launch of three new colors, a new finish and a larger width for the Conform Chrome Series of vehicle wrapping film. The new vinyl films, intended for accent wraps, are available in 53” width, and they include Violet, Rose Gold and Matte Silver.

Similar to previous Conform Chrome films, these new colors can be applied to simple curves, and they feature patented Easy Apply RS™ adhesive. Conform Chrome Matte Silver is the first film from the series to feature a matte finish, and it is recommended for full wrap applications as well as accent wraps with mirror-like finishes for an authentic chrome look.

“The Conform Chrome Series allows wrap installers to bring their designs to the next level with sharp, eye-popping chrome accents and details, and the new colors give them even more potential design combinations,” said Jeff Losch, marketing director for Avery Dennison Graphics Solutions North America. “These new colors also offer the same easy application and long-term removability customers expect from our products, while a wider size makes for seamless installations.”

Conform Chrome Violet, Rose Gold and Matte Silver bring the series to a total of eight films, all of which are recommended for use in combination with Supreme Wrapping™ Film and MPI 1105 to highlight mirrors, spoilers and simple curves. Conform Chrome films also offer repositionability and slidability provided by Easy Apply RS™ technology.

Samples of Avery Dennison Conform Chrome Series films are available from Avery Dennison representatives or vinyl distributors. Visit the Find a Distributor page on the Avery Dennison website to locate a distributor in your area.

WrapGlove© – Revolutionizes an industry

For those in the vehicle wrap industry, our wrap gloves are basic, standard, critical parts of our daily job. When we do not have a glove close by it feels like we are missing our knife, squeegee or torch… simply not acceptable. What started years ago at APE Wraps® has morphed and grown into a worldwide phenomenon spanning countries, film brands, language and organizations. Gloves of multiple sizes, colors and brands continue to spread throughout the industry as a vital part of the wrappers kit.

The ability to protect the film while simultaneously turning our hands into an infinitely conformable squeegee has, quite simply, revolutionized the way wrappers world-wide perform at top levels.

Believe it or not, originally, the glove was not available for the general public and was intended for only internal use at APE Wraps®. However, it didn’t take long for industry friends and partners to start asking for them. After huge efforts by the family in identifying all the qualities necessary for a glove to perform as a durable, high quality tool the Original WrapGlove® was born. Today with more technology than ever before, the WrapGlove® brand has become an industry standard to decal installers worldwide. If you ask any professional installer “What are the top three tools in their Pouch”? One of them will most likely be the WrapGlove®.

The WrapGlove® was invented by Wastegate Technologies, Inc. (WTI). The WTI Company first and foremost is known for their custom show cars, concourse quality builds in the automotive industry. The family identified the need for gloves back in the 60’s and had gloves made for the use of protecting their concourse cars surfaces during and after the builds. Fast forward to 2007 where the use of the glove during the testing of some ultra conformable PVC films we found the glove had unintended attributes/qualities, by allowing the hand to glide smoothly across the surface of the film, unlike a bare hand that would drag and gouge the media. Fast forward 2 more years and WTI had produced the glove that in essence, is what our customers know today as the WrapGlove® Brand.
